Farm Description:

The Samaritan Community Center Garden expands from 1/3 acre to 1.5 acres of growing space. The scaled-up farm will continue with the same farm methods already established – organic, low-till vegetable/flower/fruit production with market scale rows of 100 feet long and 2.5 feet wide. All the produce grown at Samaritan is served at the soup kitchen and food pantry onsite. With the expansion, Samaritan hopes to expand its market to selling produce to the local food bank, establish a U-pick operation and begin a small CSA.
