August 6 – CAFF Volunteer Day

Would you like an opportunity to see what farm work is like before applying to the CAFF Farm School? Sign up for the next CAFF volunteer day. There is always work to be done at the CAFF Farm,

August 21 – CAFF Open House

It’s always nice to visit the CAFF Farm, especially if you are considering applying for Farm School 2026. Join us for a tour, meet the CAFF instructors, and learn about all of our programs.

August 27 – Beers with Farmers & Reunion

Have a brew, tell some tall tales, and enjoy the company of local farmers. Everyone is welcome. We’re all part of the local food system and this is an opportunity to get to know each other. This event is also an informal CAFF graduate reunion. The first round is on CAFF for all grads!

September 16 & 17 – Short Courses –Advanced Soil Health & Nutrition for Specialty Crops

Fertility plans based on cover crop contributions,  cover crop mixes, seeding methods and rates, soil and foliar sampling, organic fertigation, economics of cover crops

Price $30, includes lunch

If you dream of farming, this is the program you’ve beeen searching for. You’ll learn farm production hands-on at the CAFF teacing farm in Fayetteville, along with farm entrpreneurship and business. You’ll leave the program with a business plan in-hand and the skills to make it a reality.

NOVEMBER

Center for Arkansas Farms and Food

November 18 & 19 – Short Courses – Efficient Irrigation & Water Management for Specialty Crops

Topics: Design and build an automated irrigation system; determine when to turn on the irrigation system and how much water to apply; learn how to efficiently use water from rivers, creeks, ponds, rainwater catchment tanks, wells, and rural water supplies.

Price $30, includes lunch
