FarmWorks
CAFF FarmWorks
CAFF FarmWorks is a new initiative created to fill the labor gap on local farms. It connects individuals interested in growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs and raising livestock with farms that need support. CAFF partners with sustainable and organic farms growing food for local communities. If you want hands-on experience producing food, this could be a meaningful opportunity for you.
When does the work start?
Farm work is diverse and varies by season, with hours that may be full-time, part-time, early mornings, or late evenings. Schedules depend on the needs of each farm and the time of the year. Most tasks occur outdoors, offering fresh air and a hands-on connection with nature. However, be prepared for potential exposure to sun, dust, and natural elements like ticks and chiggers.
Opportunities Offered
Typical responsibilities include seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing produce. If you enjoy working outdoors, engaging in physical labor, solving problems, and being around fresh, local food, CAFF FarmWorks could be the perfect opportunity!
