CAFF Mentor Farms
CAFF matches apprentices with successful mentor farms that align with their areas of interest. Each mentor farm is unique. Some produce only fruits, or vegetables, while others have livestock. Each makes a valuable contribution to their local food sytem. CAFF Mentor Farms are vetted, compensated, and must meet specific requirements. Some farms offer on-site housing. The progress of apprentices is monitored throughout the program to insure they are receiveing the expected level of knowledge and experience.
Dripping Springs
Produces organic vegetables, herbs, berries, and cut flowers for the Fayetteville Farmers Market. On-site housing option.
Appel Farms
A 10-acre farming operation growing strawberries, pumpkins, vegetables, chickens, and pigs.
Blue Mountain Vegetable Farm
Blue Mountain Vegetable Farm grows a 1-acre market garden, specialty cut flowers, and shiitake mushrooms. A small variety of vegetables are grown for the market, and more for meals.
Cobblestone Farm
A 25-acre non-profit farm in Fayetteville, growing produce and raising animals. A substantial portion of the harvest is donated for hunger relief. The remainder is sold to the local food system.
Bell Urban Farm
Small urban farm in Conway, Arkansas growing cut flowers and plant starts. Features an on-site local foods grocery store.
Sycamore Bend Farm
A one acre no-till diversified vegetable farm with registered Katahdin sheep located in Eureka Springs, AR
Middlefork Farm
Small scale certified naturally grown vegetables for farmers markets, CSA and wholesale. Located in Fayetteville, AR.
SAMARITAN COMMUNITY CENTER GARDEN
Organic, low-till farm in Rogers that grows vegetables, flowers, and fruits for the on-site soup kitchen and food pantry.
